The International Conference on Basic Science and Its
Applications (ICBSA) 2026
is an international scientific forum fully funded by the
EQUITY (Excellence in Quantitative, Innovation, and Technology)
Program
and hosted by the
Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA), Universitas
Andalas, Indonesia.
As an international conference, ICBSA brings together researchers,
academics, and practitioners from around the world to present and
discuss advances in basic sciences and their applications in
addressing global sustainability challenges. The conference
highlights the strategic role of fundamental research as the
backbone of innovation, evidence-based decision-making, and
sustainable technological development.
ICBSA 2026 is aligned with the United Nations Sustainable
Development Goals (SDGs), with a primary focus on United Nations SDG
3 (Good Health and Well-Being) and SDG 7 (Affordable and Clean
Energy). The conference emphasizes advancing research and innovation
that promote better health outcomes, strengthen well-being, and
support the development and implementation of accessible, reliable,
and sustainable clean energy solutions for communities worldwide.
These goals are addressed through interdisciplinary research across
biological sciences, chemical sciences, mathematical sciences,
physical sciences, and environmental systems.
Through keynote lectures, invited talks, and rigorously
peer-reviewed paper presentations, ICBSA 2026 showcases how research
in basic sciences contributes to food security, human health, clean
water technologies, renewable energy, climate resilience, ecosystem
conservation, and sustainable urban and natural environments. The
conference also serves as a platform for fostering interdisciplinary
dialogue and strengthening long-term international research
collaboration.
